Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) are plants and animals that have been introduced into ecosystems and have environmental, recreational, economic or health impacts. The economic impacts include the ongoing cost of managing invasive species and could cause lower property values due to negative impacts to recreation.These invaders may damage equipment and compete with native species. Anglers and boaters may unknowingly introduce AIS into the water.
